Brand story, by Bella:

Flexxi Beauty was born from a disheartening realisation: almost all makeup tools on the market simply aren't designed for people with limited hand and wrist mobility. With over 1.8 million Australians experiencing changes in hand and wrist function throughout their lives, it was clear that beauty needed (and still needs) a more inclusive path. 

As an occupational therapist, my passion is to empower people with disabilities or functional challenges to live more independently and fully in daily life. At the same time, as a makeup artist and lover of all things beauty, I have seen firsthand how makeup can boost confidence, foster self-expression, and spark creativity.

Being a part of both worlds, I saw this problem first-hand and sought to create a product that was accessible to all- an adaptive, multi-functional makeup brush that flexes to individual needs. 

The Flexxi brush was thoughtfully designed over 4 years with occupational therapy principles, inclusivity and the customer experience always front of mind. Numerous prototypes were trialed and tweaked by people with lived experience until it was perfect.
